I didn’t start Chele Care because I saw a gap in the market. I started it because more than twenty years as a Registered Mental Health Nurse taught me that the care people deserve and the care they often receive are not always the same thing. I had seen what a difference it makes when someone feels truly seen — not as a task to be completed, but as an individual whose history, preferences and dignity matter.
Chele Care is based in Dorset, where my family and I chose to put down roots. We are small by design, nurse-led by conviction, and personal by choice. I believe genuine care cannot be scaled beyond the point where you still know every client’s name, every carer’s character, and every family’s concerns — so that is exactly where we stay.
Every decision I make comes back to one question: Would I be happy with this for someone I love? If the answer is yes, we move forward. If it is not, we do not. That principle has guided Chele Care from the beginning and it shapes everything we do.

Zvikomborero ‘Zviko’ Chihoro
Zviko leads partnerships for Chele Care, building trusted relationships with hospital discharge teams, NHS trusts, local authority social care commissioners, and community organisations across Dorset and the surrounding areas — so that families experience a smooth, well-supported transition from hospital back home.
His background is in social value and community impact work, helping organisations forge genuine relationships with public sector partners and create real opportunities for people who need them most. He has also served in local public office, experience that sharpens his understanding of how councils, NHS bodies, and community organisations work — and how to work well with them.
As Head of Partnerships, Zviko’s priorities are straightforward: build relationships rooted in community rather than volume; work directly alongside discharge teams and local services; and ensure that every partnership Chele Care holds creates lasting value within the communities it serves — not just a service delivered to them.
